A wagering requirement is the amount a player must bet before bonus funds become withdrawable, expressed as a multiple of the bonus. It exists to prevent abuse.
A wagering requirement is the amount a player must bet before bonus funds convert to withdrawable balance, expressed as a multiple (e.g., 30x a $10 bonus = $300 in wagers). It exists to prevent bonus abuse: without it, bonuses would be free money with positive expected value.
Well-designed requirements account for game selection — games where players can control variance (dice, plinko, limbo) allow low-risk requirement grinding, which is why platforms often exclude them from wagering contribution or weight them at zero.
